Just another WordPress weblog

After bloggers everywhere, myself included, blew a fuse yesterday over the iPhone price drop, Steve Jobs put out an open letter on Apple.com.  In the letter he explains that he did not anticipate the blow back.  He assures everyone that dropping the price is the right thing to do, I completly agree, but also states that he did not intend to as i put it “slap us in the face.”  Apple is still working out the details, but us early adopters will get an 100 dollar credit at the Apple Store (brick and motar as well as online).  I have always liked how Apple handles its customer service and although it still kinda sucks I think this is a great thing to do.  The bigger question for me is I dont really like Macs I love my iPhone and my 80 gig iPod, which has been lent to a friend since i got my iPhone, so what am i going to do with 100 Apple bucks?

Steve Job’s open letter to iPhone owners can be found by clicking here

thanks Apple and Steve no other company would have done this and it goes to show that some companys really do appreciate their customers and fans.

  • DAMN YOU STEVE JOBS!!!

Let me start this off by saying I love my iPhone, I love it in a way that is mildly unnatural, because of this when i looked at engadget today and saw the announcement that the 8 gig iPhone which I paid 599 for 2 MONTHS AGO has been dropped down to 399 I broke a little on the inside. This is an awesome step for people who have not wanted to buy an iPhone due to its high cost, but only two months is a slap in the face of all their most loyal fans. Honestly Apple give us something to not make us feel like idiots for buying this phone when it came out. For the time being I’m going to see about starting an iPhone self help group. I wish I could quit you iPhone…

    First Day of School

So today all the high schoolers are back, which of course means this is the first time i have sat down at my PC.  Teachers are driving me nuts and I have 28 emails in my inbox.  How i miss the quiet of summer already.

I guess coming in 3 hours early is not really helping my disposition.

Being a tech at a high school is not as fulfilling as you might assume.  On the bright side we got a new server today that should help us get rid of some of the older ones and i managed to get my hands on some 20 inch monitors that I’m checking out as we speak.

Its nice to type in widescreen…
